Oopsie’s - Re- Applying a Chalk Couture transfer

I hope you have seen a theme in these last couple of blog posts. When I purchased my latest pack of simple shapes they actually came in a 4 pack so I was able to make 4 different projects with them. If you happened to miss our wall hanger using the round one make sure to head back over and take a look. I loved them SO much that I went ahead and picked up a set of our 2 pack rectangle ones.

These ones are a little bigger but just as much fun to create with. Check out this fun sign I made using the Come in and Hang Out transfer.  This is another really fun transfer that I had used over and over again.

Isn’t this perfect for the kids room, game room, or even a lounge area? Plus I even took it a step further and attached some fairy lights to the back of it (I grabbed these from Amazon) and turned it into a night light!! This would look equally as cute out on the patio on those hot summer nights.

To check out this project in action, AND to see how I had to re-apply the transfer to get a darker, bolder paste color, check out the video below.

Creator Tip: After I applied a black acrylic paint to the base of this surface I did not allow it to dry for a full 24 hours. This step is SO crucial because your transfer will pull that paint up and your paste will not come out as vivid. Check out the video to see what I mean and always allow 24 hours of dry time (just to be safe) and of course apply some surface wax to protect that transfer.

Don’t you LOVE how easy our silk screen transfers are to use. Just wash it off, line it up through the silk screen, and go to town….again <3 I used Orange Peel Chalkology Paste, which just so happens to be my all time favorite orange.

If you loved today’s video make sure to subscribe. I have some amazing tutorials coming up including how to offset your designs to create a fun new look.

Until Next Time,

Jen
